In 2025, Parkwest Strings had the honor of performing at three weddings in the Fragrance Garden at the Morton Arboretum. Each ceremony unfolded in its own way, shaped by the changing beauty of the garden and the distinct story of each couple. Thoughtfully chosen music brought these moments to life, blending naturally with the setting to create an atmosphere that felt both personal and quietly unforgettable.
June: Summer in Full Bloom
Our first wedding unfolded in a setting of vibrant greenery and blossoms at their peak. The bride’s choice of “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey set a cinematic, almost dreamlike tone. On strings, it felt both contemporary and timeless, mirroring the freshness of summer in full bloom.
Late Summer: Golden Light and Romance
By late summer, the Fragrance Garden softened into warmer tones, with golden light filtering through the trees. The bride walked down the aisle to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, a modern classic that never fails to move hearts.
September: Autumn in Full Color

Our Arboretum wedding in early autumn was filled with seasonal richness. Pumpkins lined the garden paths, leaves glowed in deep shades of red and gold, and the crisp air carried a quiet sense of anticipation. The bride’s entrance to Yiruma’s “Kiss the Rain” was unforgettable.
Why Music Matters Here
Across three weddings in the same garden, one truth became clear: the Fragrance Garden is never the same twice. Summer’s brightness, late summer’s glow, and autumn’s richness each call for a different musical voice, and each couple chose pieces that reflected their own vision.
What makes Parkwest Strings distinct is our ability to move seamlessly between genres and moments. From cinematic pop ballads like Lana Del Rey, to iconic love songs by Christina Perri, to lyrical works inspired by Yiruma, we create string arrangements that elevate the setting while still feeling personal and natural.
The Morton Arboretum offers a breathtaking stage, but it is the dialogue between nature, music, and memory that makes a wedding feel timeless. That is where we come in, not simply as performers, but as curators of sound, shaping each moment in a way that moves with the seasons.
