Parkwest Strings

Songhea Sackrider is the violinist and artistic director of Parkwest Strings. She holds degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Michigan and Northwestern University.

Her work is shaped by years of chamber music, orchestral collaboration, and live event performance. She brings a refined understanding of how music supports atmosphere, timing, and flow, approaching each setting with clarity and intention.

She has performed as a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Chicago, and the Chicago Arts Orchestra. Her string quartet arrangement of Dream On by Aerosmith is performed internationally by The Rock Orchestra, reflecting a musical voice that moves naturally between classical tradition and contemporary expression.
